Panelist Bios for "Mindfulness at Work" 

Tara Healey is Program Director for Mindfulness-Based Learning at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Prior to this, she worked as an Organizational Development professional in HR at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care for over 20 years. In that role she served as a coach, strategist, program designer and facilitator. It was in this capacity (where she took a bit of a risk) and offered an introduction to mindfulness at work, more than 10 years ago, long before mindfulness became a popular cultural phenomenon. Since that time an entire suite of mindfulness courses have been designed and conducted at 167 organizations reaching over 10,000 people. Additionally, Tara has spoken about mindfulness at numerous events domestic and abroad, and has contributed articles to Mindful Magazine and the Harvard Business Review blog. Tara became a student of mindfulness over 20 years ago – sitting silent retreats and working with meditation teachers at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA among other retreat centers. She holds an M.Ed. in Health Education from Springfield College.

Gina LaRoche is a Co-Founder at Seven Stones Leadership Group as well as a Organizational Leadership Consultant, Facilitator and Leadership Coach specializing in designing high impact, transformative interventions with individuals and teams. She brings respect, clarity, truth and love to her work. Gina leverages over 25 years experience in delivering executive programs challenging leaders, teams and entrepreneurs to accelerate results using vision, strategy and accountability. Gina has a deep mindfulness practice and will graduate from the Community Dharma Leaders Program at Spirit Rock, an insight meditation center. She has sat over 50 nights in silent meditation at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. Gina holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSBA from Georgetown University. She is also a writer and collage artist, and the co-author of The Seven Laws of Enough – Parallax Press (forthcoming) and author of Un-stuck: Make the Shift (2011), Living in Sufficiency: A daily journey (2009) and two book chapters “The Ties that Bind and Separate: Black and White Women Working Together” and “Cross Cultural Connections: Leveraging Social Networks for Women’s Advancement.” 

Andy Lee serves as Aetna’s Chief Mindfulness Officer. In this role, he seeks to create a deeply rooted, mindful culture at Aetna that serves as an example other companies to emulate. He is also helping to build an industry-leading product portfolio to bring the benefits of mindfulness to Aetna’s 26 million members.  Andy is a recognized expert in mindfulness training and program development. In 2010, he founded Working Mindfully, offering customized mindfulness training programs and mindfulness-based executive coaching. He also served as senior consultant with The Potential Project, the global leader in workplace mindfulness training. Before embracing mindfulness as a career focus, Andy held senior talent management jobs at Fenestra, Merrill Lynch, Viacom and Capital One Services. He holds an MA in organizational psychology from Columbia University and an MA/ABD in industrial/organizational psychology from New York University. Andy has been trained as a mindfulness teacher at the UMass Center for Mindfulness. 

Chris Lyddy
is a pioneer in the science of mindfulness at work. An Assistant Professor of Management at Providence College, he and his colleagues have developed evidence-based theory regarding the workplace integration and impacts of mindfulness. His ongoing studies explore the diverse impacts of mindfulness interventions in organizations, including customer service, engagement, feedback, and leadership. Chris earned his PhD in Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve University, and holds degrees in Economics and City Planning from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and MIT, respectively. Previously he worked as a researcher at the Brookings Institution and MIT Sloan. Chris supports the thriving of individuals and organizations through the design and assessment of mindfulness programs.
